What’s for Dinner | Week of Meals | Real Life Budget Friendly Meals

Hello my fellow family foodie friend!

This week I shared my Jimmy John’s sub hack, beef n gravy with mashed potatoes, chili, nachos and stromboli!

Recipes and details outlined below!

Jimmy John’s:
Bought day old bread from Jimmy John’s for $.50/loaf. We used Hellman’s mayo (just like JJ) to give an authentic combo. IMO using Hellman’s and Jimmy John’s loaf makes for the perfect combo to make sandwiches at home!

Beef Gravy:
Mashed Potatoes:
Brussels: I used frozen brussel sprouts – drizzled with EVOO, balsamic vinegar, pink sea salt and black pepper. Roast at 425 for 7-10 minutes until done! (I like more burned/char than my family – truly a preference)

Stromboli:

Beef Barbaco: from Costco
White Queso:

Chili:
1 lbs ground beef
1/2 lb sausage
2 beef bouillon cubes
2 cans water
2 cans dark red kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
1/4 cup chili powder
Slap Yo Mama Seasoning
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
1 onion diced
1/2 bag frozen green peppers

Brown meats together & drain. Saute with onion and green pepper. Add in the rest of the ingredients. You can immediately slow cook all day … or like I do, prepare all the night before, refrigerate and then slow cook the next day.
